I have spent much of my life exploring the wilderness throughout the US and other parts of the world.

 

I'm a certified NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) field instructor, a licensed Leave No Trace Master Educator, and was a wilderness medical first responder. My passion for forest ecosystems and love of the wilderness has taken me to many beautiful places around the world, and I enjoy leading small groups in exploring the outdoors through hiking, camping, boating and backpacking adventures.

 

During this time, I became a student of yoga, breathwork and meditation -- all of which allowed me to develop the vision of opening a retreat center for those seeking spiritual growth and holistic wellness.

 

However, in the fall of 2017, I found myself confronted with what was expected to be a routine surgical procedure. Due to unforeseen complications, my active lifestyle was brought to a halt and I found myself challenged to even leave the house most days due to chronic pain and fatigue. My lifestyle and dreams for an active future were put on hold for a number of years. Nothing I tried seemed to provide any meaningful or sustained relief.

 

It was this challenge and crucible which fueled my desire to explore both modern and ancient modalities for healing. After I began a daily practice of a blend of those modalities discussed on the Home page, the fear and anxiety which plagued my daily existence, and kept me homebound for many years, began to dissipate. I began to see and know myself (and others) on a far deeper level than ever before. Suddenly, the promise of a "friendly universe" became a reality in my world!

Today, my life is limitless and my hope is to pass along some of the many gifts I have received to you.
